Makeup Tutorial-Urban Decay Naked Palette

Hello all!  As promised, today I'm sharing with you one of my favorite makeup tutorials using the Urban Decay "Naked" Palette.  Now, I spend most of my time working with clothes, so creativity with makeup is not my strongest suit-thus, today this tutorial comes from Marlena at Makeup Geek.  She is so great at instructing how to get that perfect smokey eye a la Kim Kardashian (whom, I have to admit, I am kind of obsessed with...secretly of course). I mean come on, you have to admit the girl rocks the smokey eye. So, here you go! Enjoy.

Saturday/Sunday Snapshots.

Well, this weekend was full of great things.  I don't normally have Saturdays off of work, so it was an extra special treat. Connor works Saturdays, so I had the day free to enjoy with two of my good friends at The International Cat Show here in Portland. Yes, I know you've already formed an idea in your head about what said show might look like, and let me tell you- you're probably right.  It was pretty magical-and I'm really more of a dog person.
For the rest of the weekend, we went to church, helped a friend move, had luch with old friends, and enjoyed some sunshine at the park. Here are a few snapshots from the weekend...stay tuned for "What I Wore- weekend edition". Did you do anything fun over the weekend?

Awesome handmade cat figurines to welcome us.

I don't know if you can tell, but this is a lion cat.

Urban Decay "Naked" palette I got with some fun money. Fun makeup tutorials to come!

Pendleton chair. Swoon.

My little Tino. He's crazy.
Hope you guys had a great weekend!!

What I'm all about today: Flowers on the table.

You know, its hard to beat a vase full of flowers on the table. They instantly make my day. I don't really care which kind, although peonies are quite lovely. Yesterday, I went downtown to the market, and picked up these little beauties. I love how they add that little extra something to any room. I'm trying to make a better effort to pay attention to the little details in our house, so I suppose getting fresh flowers whenever possible is a good first step.
